How AEOify analyzes your site

AEOify loads your pages in a real browser, researches current best practices, and compares the two to produce actionable recommendations.

The analysis process

AEOify uses a two-step approach: first it loads your site the same way AI search engines do, then it evaluates what it finds against current AEO best practices.

Step 1: Site crawling

When you submit a URL, you choose between two scan modes. Smart scan mode loads the page in a full browser, follows internal links, and auto-discovers your key pages. Single page mode analyzes only the URL you entered. In both modes, pages are rendered with all dynamic content running, so the analysis reflects what AI crawlers actually see.

You can also add individual pages to an existing report later using the "+ Add page" button, without starting a new scan.

Step 2: Best practices research

Before evaluating your site, AEOify researches the latest AEO best practices. This ensures your recommendations reflect what works today, not outdated advice.

Step 3: Evaluation

Your rendered pages are compared against current best practices. The gap between what your site has and what it should have becomes your recommendation list. Each recommendation includes a priority level, action steps, and code snippets where applicable.

What gets analyzed

On each page, AEOify examines:

  • Title tags and meta descriptions
  • Heading hierarchy (h1 through h6)
  • Structured data markup
  • Open Graph and social sharing tags
  • Content structure and answer formatting
  • Internal linking patterns

Processing time

A smart scan takes 2 to 5 minutes. Single page scans are faster, usually under a minute. You will receive an email when your report is ready. See creating your first report to get started.

Does AEOify execute my site's scripts?
Yes. Pages are loaded in a full browser with all scripts running. This captures dynamically rendered content that simpler crawlers would miss.
Can I analyze a single page?
Yes. Choose "Single page" mode when creating a report to analyze just one URL (uses 1 credit). You can also add pages individually to any existing report.
